The Lovely Canning Lady

I grew up with my mom canning or freezing all of our garden bounty.   Our life at the end of August was focused on getting everything prepared for the winter.  The sisters would shuck bushels of corn so our parents could cut the kernals off and freeze bags and bags of corn.  Then cutting lots of dill and harvesting all the cucumbers to make pickles... mmm homemade pickles.  Finally all of the western slope peaches or pears that would be canned for winter dessert.  There is more, but those are my favorites.

Thanks Mike!!  thank you for sharing this video with me and getting me to think about snagging my mom's canning equipment.
